I am going to write about women's sexual identity in Czechoslovakia during the time frame each book.
For the Miracle Game, I'll be focusing on 1949-1970's (?)and relate that back to female characters in the book.
I've started my own blog for my project, http://sarrahidst234.blogspot.com/, here I'll post things I find during my research and pictures.
This early in my research I haven't came across anything on the male sexual identity, bet we'll see.

I think this is a great project, though I confess to not knowing too much about where to find information beyond the novels themselves: in which case, the topic would be more about the representation of women's sexuality by men. We'll be watching another film soon that will add to this canon. I'll be very interested to see what you find. The other things to keep in mind is that all the books we're reading were written and are set in the time period you indicate, so you won't have another point of comparison. But I don't think that's a problem. I see from just googling "women sexuality in communist Europe" that what I get is tons of stuff about women/sexuality in post-communist Europe. I did come across this: http://pi.library.yorku.ca/ojs/index.php/soi/article/view/8034/7204. Good luck with this!!
